Who says there is not truth in advertising? The Hustmobile-developed app GoodPlayer is just what its name says: a really good media player for iOS-powered devices.

A question immediately popped into your mind, I’m sure. “George, what makes GoodPlayer a really good media player?” some of you are asking right about now. The truth of the matter is that several elements contribute to this.

The first one is that the app plays just about any type of media file you can think of. It will play AVI, Xvid, Divx, DAT, VOB, FLV, WMV, MKV, MP4, RM, RMVB, and AC3. The second one is that the app lets you download and stream files directly from the app. It lets you stream files over HTTP, FTP, RTSP, MMS, MMSH, MMST, RTP, and UDP. Moving on, the third reason is that GoodPlayer comes with support for subtitles; if you don’t like subtitles, you can disable then with a swipe (swipe up to enable subtitles, swipe down to disable them).

Some of you may not want to watch media on their iPhone’s screen, they prefer to do it on something a bit larger. Here comes another reason that makes GoodPlayer a really good media player: it provides support for video out, which means you can view media files on your TV by hooking up your iPhone to your TV.

There are several other reasons why GoodPlayer is a properly good media player, like the fact that you can password protect folders, that you can open video files from other apps, and that it is a universal app. But I think I got my point across so I will stop here.
